It's a great reminder of why we can sometimes feel so frustrated in this life, because we are made for something so much more.

@John - It is amazing how difficulties like illness can force our lives into focus on the essentials. As the saying goes, when God is all you have, you soon find he is all you need.Soulicitoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05017569824171380633noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2613862136742090035.post-11926743581625474462011-07-07T09:16:04.616-04:002011-07-07T09:16:04.616-04:00Things certainly didn't turn out like I expect...Things certainly didn't turn out like I expected when I was diagnosed with cancer two years ago. Life suddenly became very simple: just me and God. There's a lot more I could say about "Plan B" (thus the blog) but this verse was key for me: 2 Corinthians 12:9. I realized that when we are weak, then God can work through us. When life doesn't turn out like we wanted, that's often when we turn to God and he can start using us.Johnhttp://www.fivestonefight.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2613862136742090035.post-40855468709166521052011-07-07T08:40:29.925-04:002011-07-07T08:40:29.925-04:00Thanks Pete. It really is so simple, and so freeing if we accept it. One point that has continued to stick with me is found on page 112. The garden of Eden, the knowledge of good and evil and the longing for good as we know it should be. I can't wait for Pete's next book.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
